Human developement Initiatives (HDI) on 28th January 2016 held a meeting with Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in Lagos. This meeting was one of the series of engagements with government institutions set to share information on how to address the challenges that affect members of the public; particularly in ensuring public participation in governance and consequently drive transparency, accountability and improved service delivery. The need to strengthen collaboration between established government institutions and civil society cannot be overemphasized especially at the time in Nigeria when disservice to the members of the public is on the rise and complaints are not properly communicated to the government for redress. The effect of this gap negatively impacts on service delivery, public engagement, and governance, particularly at the local level.
